Reflecting on our week at Jamie’s Farm
Last term we took a group of students to Jamie’s Farm in Sussex.
This week long residential trip allowed our students to experience life on a farm and they enjoyed a range of activities including farming, cooking, gardening, log chopping, working with horses, playing games and exploring the countryside. This trip was designed to push our students out of their comfort zones and work through challenges in a fun and supportive environment.
The trip was a roaring success and our students enjoyed both the piece and quiet of the countryside and all the activities they participated in.
We have been so proud of the positive impact this trip has had on them. Some feedback from our students has included, “since the farm, I have got less detentions", "I am proud that I have now moved up to set two in Science" and "I have now joined a mentoring scheme to help other students".
