Equalities & Additional Intervention
Harris Clapham prides itself in taking an inclusive approach to all its work. Every student and member of staff will have access to the same opportunities irrespective of their background.
A key part of curriculum intent is to ensure that all students are aware of their rights and responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010. We expect every member of staff to understand their part in upholding the public sector equality duty.
The academy’s policies are all written with a view to making sure that the Equality Act 2010 is fully considered. Students will special educational needs and/or disabilities will have reasonable adjustments made where we can. Our approach to teaching, called the 'Clapham Way' and enshrined in our Curriculum Poilcy, is designed to draw on research to deliver quality first teaching for learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
